The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has congratulated Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on his victory in the November 16, 2024 governorship election.
Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, won with 366,781 votes, defeating Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party who secured 117,845 votes.
Kalu praised the people of Ondo State for voting en masse for APC and commended INEC for conducting credible polls.[spacing size=””
He noted that Aiyedatiwa’s win in all 18 local government areas demonstrates APC’s good governance in Ondo and beyond.
Kalu also expressed satisfaction with APC’s growing presence in southern Nigeria, saying that the party is consolidating power.
The Deputy Speaker also acknowledged the security agencies and stakeholders for ensuring peaceful elections.
He urged Aiyedatiwa to maintain good governance in the state.
