President Bola Tinubu has dismissed five ministers effective immediately, including Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye (Women Affairs), Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Prof. Tahir Mamman (Education), Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo (Housing and Urban Development), and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Youth Development).
This decision was confirmed by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
The President also changed the nomenclature of the Ministry of Niger Delta, renaming it Ministry of Regional Development. Recall that Tinubu had threatened to sack some of his ministers found to have under-performed in the last one year since the administration came on board.
