Mp. Oluwole Oke to Play Key Role at NIDO Annual General Meeting and World Conference in Cleveland, Ohio, 2024.
In a significant boost to Nigeria’s global diplomatic and developmental engagements, Honourable Dr. Oluwole Busayo Oke, the distinguished Member, representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State in the National Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, is poised to take on a pivotal role at the upcoming Nigerians in Diaspora Organisations (NIDO) Annual General Meeting and World Conference. This is slated for November 23, 2024, at the Wyndham Cleveland Airport Hotel, Cleveland, Ohio, United States.
This prestigious event will bring together influential figures from Nigeria and the global diaspora under the theme: “New Nigeria, Fresh Progress, Vision of United NIDO.”
Mp. Oke’s participation in this landmark event is expected to underscore his commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s foreign relations and strengthening the country’s ties with its diaspora.
His role at the conference, alongside other prominent dignitaries such as Honourable (Dr.) Abike Dabiri Erewa, Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM); Rt. Honourable (Sir) Toochukwu Okere, Chairman, House Committee on Diaspora Matters; and Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Nigeria’s current OPEC Governor, will provide a platform for extensive dialogue on the future of Nigeria and its diaspora.
Alongside Honourable Abike Dabiri Erewa, Rt. Honourable Toochukwu Okere, and Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, Honourable Oke will collaborate with other dignitaries on shaping the future of Nigeria’s engagement with its diaspora. This collective effort will involve strategic discussions on how to unite the various diaspora groups under a shared vision for Nigeria’s progress.
The collaboration between the House Committees on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Matters, as well as the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, will be crucial in ensuring that the policies discussed at the NIDO conference are implemented effectively.
