Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has assured that the legacies of the President Muhammadu Buhari All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration will be sustained beyond 2023.
According to a statement by the APC United Kingdom Chapter on Tuesday in Abuja, Aliyu gave the assurance when Mr Ade Omole, APC Diaspora Leader and Director, Diaspora Directorate of APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) visited her.
The statement issued by Mr Jacob Ogunseye, Publicity Secretary, APC UK chapter, said Omole had paid a condolence visit to the Minister on the death of her mother, Hajiya Zainab Sidi Ali.
The minister while thanking Omole for the visit, said her office would work closely with his core team and Diaspora directorate to ensure that the legacies of Buhari’s administration were sustained and the enthronement of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidency in 2023.
Aliyu also thanked Omole for leading the progressives in the Diaspora in their quest for a better Nigeria and for being the arrowhead of the APC and the Buhari-led government in the Diaspora.
She specifically commended Omole for putting together the ministers’ virtual series which showcased the achievements of the government which she said she made out time to also attend.
NAN recalled that the Diaspora Virtual series featured the Minister for Transportation, Minister for Labour, and Minister for Mines & Steel, amongst others.
She said the series was a good initiative that brought Nigerians outside the country closer home and made them understand what the government was doing to bring more Nigerians out of poverty and insecurity among others.
According to the statement, Omole on behalf of Nigerians in the Diaspora, urged the minister to take heart and stay strong, saying that her mother was resting in peace.
He wished the minister well and appreciated her giant strides in the FCT which he said were positively impacting the lives of Nigerians.
